Road Rally 2004
The Road Rally
is without question the most highly-anticipated fellowship activity of our
church year. It's hard to describe what the Road Rally really is. Suffice
it to say that it is something like a scavenger hunt on wheels. Participants
follow far-out clues -- featuring wild rhymes and loads of bad puns -- in
order to drive along an unknown route through the countryside to an undisclosed
destination where the group will gather for dinner. The Road Rally is planned
every year with C.I.A. level high-security secrecy by the pastor and
his wife. The 2004 edition of the Road Rally was held on July 11th. For the first time ever, the Road Rally doubled back on itself and ended in a restaurant within Galena -- The Irish Cottage -- where we had a great meal followed by entertainment provided by the Irish dancers.

Are you sure you want to say that?
and looking for the taped tree.
Sharing laughter at the restaurant.
Wait! How can anyone rhyme "pillars" with
"domicilar" and what is that anyway?
Some got the clues in a timely fashion;
some were fashionably late.
It's finally time for the food.
All is revealed.
